Congratulations PA advisers, publications!

PSPA Announces 2010 Student Journalist of the Year

The Pennsylvania School Press Association is proud to announce the 2010 Student Journalist of the year as

Seth Zweifler of Conestoga High School

The two state runners up include:  Katelyn Frueh  and Emily Weber both from Souderton Area High School

Seth will receive a $500 scholarship and each runner up will receive a $100 scholarship.

Tessa Hochberg from Taylor Allerdice High School received an honorable mention from the judges.

These four student journalists are invited to attend the 2010 PSPA Convention where they will be recognized. 

Congratulations to these 3 journalists and all journalists who took time to put together and submit portfolios.  Encourage this year’s juniors to start looking ahead to next year and begin a portfolio now.

Congratulations Merion Mercy Academy!

February 7, 2010

The 2009 issue of Image Explosion has won the NCTE Highest Award designation for literary magazines.  Four extraordinary magazines were nominated; Merion Mercy prevailed.  Congratuations for Margery Roby and IE staff!

Earlier this year PSPA presented IE with a Keystone-Allstate – our highest award.
