Whew. Details about the issue are on page 14. Interesting look yet we do not feel that these rules are survival rules that cannot be challenged. Check out Texas Monthly, T: The NYT Style magazine, Interview, New York Look - all which feature minimal cover text. This design does put a premium on Illustrator work, but hey, they are trying to create, not necessarily follow - quite the risk, but the rewards could be great. Do you run clockwise on the track? No, so you would need a very good reason to do this since you are promoting professional approaches to magazine design. If you look at it as a reader service instead of some annoying thing to include, then it will not be such a struggle to put it on the cover. I would argue, that you would need to find a professional magazine that does not place this info right up front to support the reasoning for not including it onthe front cover. Do we really need to put all that other stuff there considering our audience and that we have it posted with the publication data later in the issue? </p>
