    The 2009 issue of Image Explosion has won the NCTE Highest Award designation for literary magazines.  Four extraordinary magazines were nominated; Merion Mercy prevailed.  Congratuations for Margery Roby and IE staff!
    Earlier this year PSPA presented IE with a Keystone-Allstate – our highest award.

    Robert.. sorry this took so long.. you wrote on your own wire..hahaha. Took me a while to find it. May 17 is still a go. I know you will send me some details as the date approaches. Our yb goes out 5/19, lit mag comes out later that week and our slide show is 6/2 so all is fairly good. ASNE should be interesting. I am looking forward to all of it. Best way to prepare my students for the staff change although I am fairly sure that I will not get Kathy treatment… as if BHS has that kind of program. Share away.

I’d join you but I’m going to teach Shakespeare to some at-risk kids (all high-energy silliness) at Big Spring.

    I have some news.. I was selected as a 2010 ASNE Reynolds High School Journalism Institute Fellow at Arizona State University – June 13 – 25. And I thought I was too old for this type of stuff. At least I will be going out next year with a powerful bang.. .and we do need to talk about my one last year in public schools. Please save up enough bail money so that I am covered. And how about refreshing our date at Pottsville High School this May… I am trying to complete my end of year calendar. haha. Later, Gator
