About: Robert Hankes

Robert Hankes has advised the Big Spring High School literary magazine, Charisma, for 19 years. He joined PSPA in the mid '90s; became a board member in 2002; Chaired the Summer Evaluation Literary Magazine competition for a number of years. In 2007 he was nominated for Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. He became president of PSPA in 2008; resigned in 2011 for health reasons; rejoined PSPA later in 2011 and was voted president for a second term.

The 2013 PSPA Convention was held in Harrisburg from Oct. 24-25, and featured WPVI's Corey Herman and WPH's Chris Papst.
